SuperKidd Promotions 3rd Anniversary Celebrations
Signed to the same label as The Redneck Manifesto (who recently performed to a sell out crowd in The Stables), Enemies will headline on Friday night. Formed in 2007 they play upbeat post rock and have toured Ireland, the UK and Japan and released their debut album "We've Been Talking" this summer. Be sure to catch them live before they embark on a return trip to Japan this September, could be your last chance if they encounter any Godzilla related trouble over there. Fans of Mumford & Sons, Fleet Foxes and Arcade Fire are in for a treat as Awake Young Soldiers will also be playing on Friday night. The talented seven piece act won rave reviews for their set at Oxegen this year and recently released their debut EP "From the Veteran's Dreams". No stranger to The Stables is Tullamore native Mark Conway who has been described as a cross between Mick Flannery and Biffy Clyro which sounds impossible, but you can judge for yourself when he takes to the stage on the night.
Enemies - Bits of Parrots (Live)
Awake Young Soldiers
Rounding off night one is a very special treat for those who have followed SuperKidd gigs these past three years. Featuring members of Decipher, Ricotta, P45 and Twenty Twelve plus Thee Mike Cole, the Unknown supergroup (as they will be called because they didn't come up with a name in time.....) have promised a storming set full of shocks and surprises emphasising the wealth of musical talent Mullingar hosts.
Saturday night has a distinctly local feel with Mullingar's newest act Dillon and the Deadbeats headlining their first gig. After cutting their teeth with gigs around the country, they take to the stage in support of the release of their debut E.P, which is available on the night. Lending support will be The Two Man Gang who have gone from strength to strength since debuting at one of SuperKidd Promotions recent Open Mic Nights and The Last Partizan who count Oasis, Kasabian and The Beatles as influences.
Entry is just €3 on Friday and €5 on Saturday and both nights start at 9.30pm. Be sure to pop down for what promises to be two nights of stellar entertainment.

Summer Update.
First up is our 3rd Birthday gig. This will be the biggest gig in our three years so we hope you'll pop down and celebrate with us. We have a brilliant line up (TBA very soon) and seeing as it's a special occasion, entry will only be €3 (Unless you are a member of the SuperKidd Alumni, when entry is free!) Lots more info on this over the next few days.
Just two days after, we host another of our highly (and surprisingly) successful Open Mic Nights (Open Mic Night 4:The Trilogy+1) with special guest act Jezzebelle. As usual if you want to take to the stage (be it your first or five thousandth time) send us a message and we'll save you a slot.
We've also confirmed Open Mic Nights on September 3rd (with special guests The Butterfly Graveyard) and October 1st with our regular MC Darragh J. Glennon performing for the first time in ages.
So as you can see we'll be quite busy over the next few months, hope to see you at a gig or two.

Open Mic Night 3: Open Mic with a Vengeance
Deborah Jane set to headline SuperKidd’s July 2nd Open Mic Night at The Stables Mullingar
The Stables Mullingar sees the latest installment of SuperKidd Promotions’ prominent Open Mic Nights this Friday July 2nd. This month’s edition sees the welcome return of Deborah Jane to the headline spot.
Mullingar local Deborah has been writing and performing songs since her teens and her journey in music has to date been comprehensive to say the least. Beginning with the launch of her debut EP in 2004, Deborah Jane has shared the stage with the likes of Mundy, Declan O’ Rourke and Ann Scott. Since her return Deborah has been recapturing the hearts of listeners with her melodic voice and is very excited to be topping the Mullingar bill again. Rumours are already stirring for guest collaborations on the night.
Simon Semperski joins the bill with his poignantly mysterious acoustic style and returning local songstress Jen Something brings her contemporary acoustic panache to the stage again. Other artists on the night include Angry Bear Men, The Joey Mulligan Experience, Adrian Connolly and, making her debut, Hannah Doone from Northern Ireland.
MC on the night will be Darragh J. Glennon and he welcomes any new artists willing to brave the stage. SuperKidd Promotions promise a night of high quality new music at the same low price. Doors open at 9pm and for information you can call 085702539 or log on to www.myspace.com/superkiddpromotions.

SuperKidd Promotions All Ages Gig, March 6th 2010
Returning to headline are Blue Syndrome who are continuing to ride high on the success of their debut album "Over and Out" which was released to critical acclaim late last year. Signed to Awkward Turtle Records, they are poised for big things in 2010. Also returning is Dublin native BriBry who despite rumours, does actually own more than one t-shirt. Recently voted as the world's most polite young man (probably) he has won fans everywhere he has played thanks to his fun indie pop tunes and regular biscuit donations he makes to those in attendance at gigs. March 6th also see's three new, never before heard in Mullingar acts including the loudest two piece act ever, Stone Throwing Youths, rock and rollers Hanshake (just like a handshake, only spelled and pronounced differently) and Dublin pop rock youngsters StayOkay!
Doors open at 2.30. Tremendous.

February 13th Line Up
Mullingar's own Icon on Fire take centre stage with the release of their debut single "My Name is Casanova". After a line up change they have emerged from Mick Cronin's (of The Aftermath fame) brand new recording studio in Drumlish with a new focus and desire to spread their brand of pop-punk to the masses. Catch them as they kick of their tour with SuperKidd Promotions on February 13th in The Stables.
Kildare's The Dropout Syndrome are no strangers to SuperKidd Promotions gigs having previously played as special guests in December 2008. That day they went down a storm and it has been long overdue for their return. Citing Nirvana, Green Day and the Foo Fighters as influences they kick off 2010 with the release of their debut album "Sweet Victory". Winners of Longford's Got Talent, Inside Story make their Mullingar debut with SuperKidd Promotions on February 13th. Fronted by Athlone's Pat McEvilly, this indie three piece beat off strong competition to secure the Longford's Got Talent crown and in 2010 they are intent on conquering the rest of Ireland. Formed in July 2006 Limerick's Ocean Over Head have gone from strength to strength which saw them take first prize in the song writing category in the Garageland band competition. Since then the talented three piece have been into the studio to record with Owen Lewis who previously worked with Flogging Molly, REM & Snow Patrol to name but a few. The product of that endeavor was their debut E.P "The City Belongs to Me Again" which was released in the spring of 2009.
